David Matthews

Dr. David Matthews is a staff psychiatrist with the General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. He completed his medical degree and psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. He has a B.Sc. and a B.Mus. from McGill University and completed a M.Phil. in Medical Anthropology at the University of Oxford. His clinical work focuses on outreach and telemedicine services to rural Ontario, gender diverse populations, and urgent care. His teaching interests including training residents to provide care to underserved populations, including rural, Indigenous, and gender diverse communities.
