Miner’s Lamp Innovation Fund in the Prevention and Early Detection of Severe Mental Illness

In Canada, one in five people will experience mental illness in their lifetime. By seeding the field of psychiatry research with talented scientists we can bring substantive advance to prevention and early detection within adolescent and young adult patient populations and the broad spectrum of mental health.

Through the Miner’s Lamp Innovation Fund in Prevention and Early Detection of Severe Mental Illness we will fund two to three studies that have the potential to impact the trajectory and outcomes of serious mental illness within adolescent and young adult patient populations, with a focus on prevention and early detection
