Dr. Shekotikhina is a staff psychiatrist at Trillium Health Partners with a primary focus on Emergency Psychiatry, Inpatient unit, Mental Health Urgent Response Service and One Link shared care. She also specializes in IV Ketamine for treatment resistant mood disorders at Braxia Heath (formerly known as CRTCE).

Dr. Shekotikhina completed her MD from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2015 and psychiatry residency training at University of Ottawa, graduating in 2022. She has achieved numerous nominations and awards for her involvement in resident advocacy within the Department of Psychiatry at University of Ottawa and involvement in her residency program when she served as chief resident, chair for the resident body committee and presented to frontline police officers with Ottawa Police Service. Dr. Shekotikhina is also involved in clinical research with numerous publications, focusing her work on treatment resistant mood disorders. Dr. Shekotikhina is actively involved in teaching for medical student and residents in both informal and clinical settings with focus on evidence based practice, improving diagnostic interview skills and focus on patient centered care.
