Eloise Ballou

Dr. Eloise Ballou is a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and clinician-teacher.
She studied Psychology and Art History at the University of Toronto prior to completing medical school in the French stream at the University of Ottawa. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto, where she now provides psychodynamic psychotherapy supervision to psychiatry residents.
She works as a locum psychiatrist at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center.
Her private psychotherapy practice specializes in offering psychological care to musicians and other professionals in the creative world.
Her work focuses on the practical applications of psychotherapy to foster creativity. She uses psychodynamic principles to help people tap into their creative potential, linking self-discovery with the creation of art that truly reflects their personal voice. She aims to help artists and professionals to overcome creative blocks and express their genuine creative selves.
