I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, Nova Scotia; a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture, Yale University, New Haven, USA; and a Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. I completed a psychiatric residency at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario.
I worked as an Independent Curator for the Menil Foundation, Texas & Dia Art Foundation, New York City, NY, USA; as a Research Associate, Clinical Trials at the Veterans Administration Hospital, New York City, NY, USA; a staff psychiatrist on both the inpatient unit and as head of the Transitional Care Program, an outpatient program, on the Women’s Unit at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH); as a psychiatrist for one of the forensic ACT teams at the Canadian Mental Health Association; as a part-time psychotherapist in private practice; and as lead for the Women and Trauma Stream through the Integrated Day Treatment Program (IDT) at CAMH. I am currently working part-time for the Women and Trauma Stream/IDT.
