Mulsant-Pollock Research Day (MPRD) is the main research conference for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. The day includes a mentorship breakfast, keynote speaker, presentation of recent high-impact papers from department faculty, poster presentations and oral presentations. This event brings together our Department's members and is an opportunity for student and faculty researchers to share their work with each other and the public.
Every Division of our academic community is represented MPRD through oral presentations, poster sessions, and other interactive discussion sessions. While some of our most senior researchers present, the primary focus of Research Day is to foster the next generation of researchers, and on the promotion of our junior faculty members and developing scientists.
This year, are pleased to announce our keynote speaker, Dr. Belinda Lennox.
Dr. Lennox is Professor of Psychiatry and Head of Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist in the Early Intervention in Psychosis service for Oxford Health NHS FT. Her interests are in discovering the causes of and developing more effective treatments for those with severe mental illness and in implementing those discoveries into clinical practice, in particular research on the autoimmune basis of severe mental illness.

To showcase the work of Department members who are conducting exemplary research, we will select a few papers published over the last year for presentation as Plenary Lectures. Deadline: March 27, 2026.
Our concurrent oral presentation sessions and poster session provide an opportunity for faculty and trainees to present their research and network with their colleagues in the Department.
