MPRD Renaming Announcement

March 2, 2026

The Department of Psychiatry Research Day has been renamed Mulsant-Pollock Research Day (MPRD) in honour of the generous donations of former Labatt Family Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Benoit Mulsant, and Professor Emeritus Dr. Bruce Pollock.

"Together, Drs. Mulsant and Pollock have made an exceptional and enduring impact on the field of psychiatry through their outstanding leadership and scholarly contributions. Their collective influence has shaped and guided generations of faculty and learners. Mulsant–Pollock Research Day stands as a testament to their lasting legacy of excellence in the field." - Dr. Simone Vigod, Labatt Family Chair of the Department of Psychiatry.

MPRD will continue the tradition of being the major research conference for the Department. This event fosters community and collaboration between our Department's members and allows researchers to present a synopsis of their current work to one another, the Toronto psychiatry community, and the public.
