Suicide Prevention Training Workshop 2026
Facilitated by Sakina Rizvi, PhD; Yvonne Bergmans, MD; and Aleksandra Lalovic, PhD; this newly accredited full-day, interactive session is designed for clinicians and mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding and confidence in working with individuals experiencing suicidality.
Through a blend of current research, case discussions, and skills-based exercises, participants will:
- Explore suicidality through a personal narrative lens and understand its impact on clinical outcomes.
- Identify and manage clinician reactions to suicide risk.
- Learn and practice key therapeutic approaches to support individuals expressing a wish to end their life.
Participants will leave with a stronger foundation for managing suicide risk within their clinical practice.
