Speaker: Dr. Venkat Bhat, MD MSc FRCPC DABPN
Dr. Bhat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He is a staff psychiatrist and Director of the Interventional Psychiatry Program at St. Michael’s Hospital which offers novel interventions for treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders within three program pillars-pharmacology, brain stimulation and digital therapeutics: https://research.unityhealth.to/research-programs/interventional-psychiatry-2/
Dr. Bhat leads the Health Care Analytics/AI theme within the Institute for Biomedical Science, Engineering & Technology, is a member within the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, and is a faculty affiliate within the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Science and Technology within University of Toronto. He envisioned and developed an interdisciplinary program which offers emerging interventions for neuropsychiatric disorders, the research program aims to understand treatment response with these emerging interventions.
