The program is getting ready for our next CaRMS cycle and we need your help to choose the best and brightest future residents and psychiatrists. We encourage faculty and residents from diverse practice settings, academic interests, and experiences to join us in this important task.
There are 3 options for volunteers:
File Reviewer (PGY2+ and Faculty): Using your experience and knowledge to discern who will make a great future psychiatrist and colleague. You must attend a mandatory orientation meeting on November 27, 2024 from 5 pm– 6 pm.
Between November 29- December 13, you will be asked to review about 10 files, which will take approximately 30-45 minutes each. File reviewers will have priority in the interviewing process.
Interviewer (PGY3+ and Faculty): Virtual Interview days are February 6 & 7, 2025 from 12:00 – 5:30pm via Zoom. Residents will receive protected time to participate in CaRMS. All resident volunteers for interviews must be in good academic standing.
FACULTY ONLY - Reading/Grading Writing Samples: All interviewed candidates will reply to a writing prompt on their interview day (February 6 or 7). Between February 6 – 10, you will provided ~20 one-page written submissions to read and score.
