Trillium Health Partners (THP) has a successful ten-year affiliation with Mississauga Academy of Medicine (MAM) core clerkship rotations in Psychiatry! THP has consistently rostered 54 students annually, with many of its former students starting successful careers in psychiatry. Recognising accomplishments, we are proud to have dedicated preceptors who provide excellent direction and training. THP has supported Core MAM Clerks, 4 elective/selective Clerks, Core MH, CVH FMTU Residents, and 9 other residents on rotations. THP has also supported academic members and psychiatrists as preclerkship program instructors at MAM (CBL, ICE 2 and OSCE).

The Better Together Award for Clerkship Clinical Teacher of the Year 2023 Mississauga Campus was given to Dr. Nourhan Mohamed, one of the numerous preceptor success stories at THP. Drs. Paul Kaylor and Margarita Shekotikhina, who gained academic appointment confirmation, are two more notable accomplishments. Our requests for faculty appointments for Drs. Michal Sapieha, Rida Hashmi, Margarita Shekotikhina, and Paul Kaylor as well as Dr. Nazneen Shakeel's advancement to assistant professor were approved. The Better Together Award for Clinical Teaching - Undergraduate and Postgraduate was given to Dr. Alexandra Karas in 2022.

Learner safety is crucial to us, and our Welcome Package offers onboarding support, personal safety information, and safety precautions. We collaborate with Education Office, Facilities, and Security departments to ensure safety equipment undergoes routine battery and function testing, ensuring student protection.
