Hospital Partner Reports

Submitted by Dr. Greg Lodenquai, Psychiatrist-in-Chief

In March 2023, the Boards of Directors of the George Hull Centre for Children and Families and Central Toronto Youth Services (CTYS) announced their intention to amalgamate and form a new mental health centre that will serve infants, children, adolescents and young adults.  Our priority is to offer innovative services that result in better client outcomes.  CTYS and the George Hull Centre are known for clinical excellence, innovation and award-winning programs and commitment to families and our communities.  We have worked together for many years, partnered on program offerings and know that we possess complementary strengths.

Both Susan Chamberlain, ED of the George Hull Centre and Heather Sproule, ED of CTYS will continue to lead their respective agencies until the amalgamation is closed in the fall of 2023.  At that time, the new organization will be led by Susan Chamberlain.

The George Hull Centre developed a 5 year training plan for clinical staff, to meet strategic goals around building clinical excellence and staff retention.  The foundational years include training in family therapy, attachment, brief therapy and experience running groups before pursuing specialized training in trauma, attachment, mood/anxiety (including CBT and DBT) and working with young children.
