Topic: Balancing and Building a Career in Psychiatry as a Queer Psychiatrist
Speaker: Dr. Mark Lachmann
Working in complex institutional spaces is challenging. And then there is working in psychiatry – a field in which we support mental health and which has its own history of engagement (or lack thereof) with many populations. Everyone’s career journey will be unique to them, and Mark has found it helpful to work closely with and for community agencies to manage some of the institutional madness that can challenge us all. Some concrete conversation on promotion and career navigation will be part of our discussion.
