Dr. Lamba completed his medical school at the University of Ottawa, psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto, and an Addiction Fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
He was a part of the team that started the Addiction Consult Service and Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic at Sinai Health, and led the development of the clinical training rotations for residents and fellows from various specialities. At the time of moving onto other opportunities, there were over 70 trainees a year that would rotate through the program.
He has led and been in involved in several knowledge translation endeavours with the goal of helping addiction medicine become a general medical skill. This includes co-leading over 50 workshops at the national level and developing and maintaining project ECHO addiction medicine and psychosocial interventions at CAMH.
He is currently leading the development of a substance use service across Sinai Health System.
