Dr. Vaithianathan is currently practicing at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Geriatric Psychiatrist in the inpatient and outpatient services, and brain stimulation clinic. Her practice has involved working with diverse patient populations, conducting comprehensive assessments and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.

She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from McMaster University and obtained her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine.

She completed her residency training in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at Western University and is Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certified. She also participated as an OSCE Examiner in 2018 and 2019 for the Medical Council of Canada, National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Exams.
