Dr. Gilad earned his medical degree from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, Haifa, Israel. He completed a residency in Psychiatry followed by an additional residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Brull Mental Health Center in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he practiced both adult and child psychiatry.

In 2019, Dr. Gilad moved to Canada and completed a three-year clinical fellowship in Sleep Medicine and Neuropsychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

In 2022, Dr. Gilad was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, and began practicing as a psychiatrist and child & adolescent psychiatrist at the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario.

In 2025, Dr. Gilad was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and is a psychiatrist and child & adolescent psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

During his training and practice, Dr. Gilad developed expertise in psychopharmacology as well as various psychotherapeutic techniques and protocols. He has delivered numerous lectures and seminars to healthcare professionals and other audiences on topics including mental disorders, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, emotional education, and sleep medicine.

Dr. Gilad’s primary interests include sleep medicine, somatoform and functional disorders, and the use of emotional education as a tool for primary prevention in mental health.
