Peter Voore
Dr. Voore became the Medical Director of the newly established Ambulatory and Structured Treatments Program at CAMH in September 2012. Prior to this appointment he was the Clinical Director of the Centralized Assessment Triage and Support (CATS) and Women’s Programs at CAMH and has been on the medical staff since 1987.
As a psychiatrist, he has worked in Emergency Psychiatry, General Psychiatry, Administration and Medical Education for over 25 years. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (U of T) and completed his psychiatric training at U of T and a Fellowship at the Bellevue Hospital at New York University. Dr. Voore is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and an Associate Professor in the U of T Faculty of Medicine. He has been recognized for his contributions to Resident Education and is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Voore was previously Co-chair of the Mental Health and Addictions Acute Care Alliance, a seven hospital initiative in the Toronto Central LHIN which has improved patient access to emergency and acute care psychiatric services through collaboration and innovation. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the U of T Faculty of Medicine.
