Dr. Michelle Sukhu attended the University of Toronto for undergraduate education, and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and International Relations. She then pursued her medical education internationally at the Medical University of the Americas where she had the opportunity to complete her clerkship rotations in both the states of Louisiana and Illinois, and obtained her Doctor of Medicine. She then returned to Canada where she completed her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, she began working at the University Health Network (Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital) in both the urgent care clinic, psychiatry emergency services, and inpatient unit. Dr. Sukhu has an interest in transitional aged youth and the impacts of social media and technology on mental health.
