Michael Cheng
Michael K. Cheng is a clinical and rehabilitation psychologist. He completed his doctorate at the APA- CPA-accredited clinical psychology program at the University of Windsor and his clinical internship at the APPI-accredited University of Rochester. Michael is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO), a diplomate member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT), and a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA). He has published and presented on topics related to objective assessment in a personal injury / medico-legal context and psychological factors in pain-related disability.
Research Synopsis
Dr. Cheng's clinical and research interests include psychological factors in pain-related disability, improving motivation in patient populations, personality factors in psychopathology, psychotherapy integration, and outcome evaluation research.
