Kathleen Bingham

Dr. Kathleen Bingham is a psychiatrist with Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and physician lead with North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services. She completed her medical degree at Western University, her psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto and her PhD with the University of Toronto’s Institute for Medical Science. Dr. Bingham is a clinician-investigator, and her current research focuses on evaluating novel integrated care interventions for older adults living with complexity. She has additional research interests in cognition and other patient-centred outcomes in patients living with complex conditions, including late-life depression, psychotic depression and lupus. A clinical researcher, her methodology expertise is in observational studies and measurement science. Dr. Bingham is the principal investigator on several research projects, including two CIHR operating grants. She is also the co-coordinator of the Measurement in Clinical Research graduate course with the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Her clinical work involves treating older adults in the North Simcoe Muskoka region with mood disorders, dementia, and other psychiatric conditions in hospital, long-term care and the community.
