Hilary Brown
Hilary Brown is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, in the Health Studies program at the University of Toronto Scarborough and in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She is also an Adjunct Scientist at Women’s College Research Institute, Women’s College Hospital. Dr. Brown holds a PhD in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Western University and an MSc in Community Health & Epidemiology from Queen’s University. She completed a CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship at Women’s College Research Institute. Dr. Brown’s research interests lie at the intersection of maternal and child health and chronic disease epidemiology. She is particularly interested in the influence of maternal mental illness and disabilities on prenatal, fetal/neonatal, and postnatal health and in the use of quantitative and qualitative methods to disentangle biological and social determinants of these outcomes.
