Dr. Camilla Zimmermann is Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry and holds the Rose Family Chair in Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care at the University of Toronto. She is also Head of the Division of Palliative Care at the University Health Network, Division Director for Palliative Medicine at the University of Toronto, a staff palliative care physician at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and a Senior Scientist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Institute.

Dr. Zimmermann is internationally known for her research on palliative and supportive care, particularly in the area of early integration of palliative care for patients with cancer. She has published extensively, including in The Lancet, JAMA and Journal of Clinical Oncology, is co-editor of the textbook Supportive Oncology. Her research program on early palliative care is funded by the Canadian Cancer Society and by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.
