Dr. Paul Benassi’s clinical work focuses on forensic mental health, including psycho-legal assessments and managing individuals under the Ontario Review Board. He completed his medical degree at McMaster University, followed by Psychiatry Residency and Forensic Psychiatry Subspecialty Program at the University of Toronto. He attained graduate training in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (MSc QIPS) through the Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME) through the University of Toronto. He is cross appointed in the Department of Psychiatry and IHPME, where he supervises medical residents and MSc QIPS students.
