Michael Tau

Dr. Michael Tau completed his psychiatry residency training and geriatric psychiatry subspecialty training at the University of Toronto. His clinical areas of practice at Unity Health Toronto include consultation-liaison geriatric psychiatry, outpatient geriatric psychiatry, collaborative clinical work with geriatric medicine, and outreach to long-term care. He is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate learners. From an educational standpoint, he is interested in integrating the humanities into medical education and promoting trainees’ skills and enthusiasm for working with older adults. He is also interested in mental health service delivery as it pertains to older adults, including those living with severe mental illness.
