Anne Sonley completed her medical training at the University of Ottawa and her residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Following residency she completed a clinical fellowship in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in the Borderline Personality Disorder clinic at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She is trained in DBT and Good Psychiatric Management for Borderline Personality Disorder (GPM), a generalist treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder, which can be provided by general psychiatrists, primary care physicians and other front line clinicians. Her research interests include treatment response, genetics and access to care in borderline personality disorder. She is a staff psychiatrist in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic at CAMH and is a lecturer and full time clinician teacher at the University of Toronto in the Division of Psychotherapies, Humanities and Educational Scholarship.
