Selecting the next generation of psychiatrists is one of the most important roles of the residency program. Faculty and residents are invited to indicate their interest in participating in CaRMS 2024 by October 27, 2023.

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

CaRMS 2024 has officially begun!

Selecting the next generation of psychiatrists is one of the most important roles we have in the residency program. We hope that faculty from a variety of practice settings, academic interests, alongside other experiences and training will participate in this community endeavour.
We need your collective experience and wisdom in the selections process.

There are 3 distinct options:

File Reviewer: Using your experience and knowledge to discern who will make a great future psychiatrist and colleague. All file reviewers must attend an orientation meeting on November 30, 2023, from 5 pm – 6 pm. Between Dec 1-13, you will be asked to review about 10 files, which take 30-45 minutes each. File reviewers will have priority in the interviewing process.
Interviewer: CaRMS is happening 100% virtually again in 2024. Interview days are February 1 & 2, 2024 from 12:00 – 5:30pm via Zoom.
Reading/Grading Writing Samples: All interviewed candidates will reply to a prompt on their interview day February 1 & 2. Between February 1 – 5, you will need to read and score ~20 one-page written submissions that we will send you.

Please indicate your interest in participating in CaRMS 2024 by October 6, 2023.

Dear Resident Colleagues,

Remember when you were a nervous medical student applying to our program via CaRMS? We do too!

Now that you are on the other side, we need your help to select the best and brightest future resident colleagues. We hope you will volunteer to participate in this year’s CaRMS process.
