Dr. Avra Selick is a Scientist with the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She obtained her PhD in Health Services Research at the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Dr. Selick is a health services researcher focused on how to design, implement, and scale accessible models of care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. She uses qualitative and mixed methods approaches to gain a nuanced understanding of patient, family, and provider experiences of care. Areas of interest include supporting effective transitions in care, collaborative care models, virtual healthcare, knowledge mobilization, and the impact of climate change on mental health. Dr. Selick’s work has been funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Special Olympics Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, Kids Brain Health Network and Brain Canada.
