Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Racism and Anti-Bias Practices for Psychiatry in the Canadian Medical Landscape
As part of our Department’s commitment to EDIIA, we provide anti-bias, anti-racism, anti-discrimination training to our faculty members.
All new full-time and status-only faculty members, as well as faculty serving on educational committees, are invited to register for one of these three training sessions.
As a reminder, faculty members serving on educational committees are required by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine to complete implicit bias, anti-racism, and anti-discrimination training every three years. Accordingly, faculty who serve on educational committees and have not completed this training within the past three years are required to complete one of the upcoming sessions.
In addition, all new full-time and status-only faculty members are strongly encouraged to complete this training within the first three years of their appointment. Completion of anti-bias, anti-racism, and anti-discrimination training is reviewed as part of Continuing Appointment Review (CAR) and the academic promotion process.
