The Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems (APHS) Division is the largest academic division within the Department of Psychiatry. In the past year, the APHS Division maintained its prominent role training residents in general and addiction psychiatry. A Steering Committee is now well-established, with representation from faculty from both fully affiliated and partially affiliated hospitals, as well as psychiatry residents. The APHS held a second virtual divisional event. The topic of the event was the use of data to evaluate variations in clinical indicators. The division has launched a large Quality Improvement initiative comparing post-discharge physician follow-up rates across TAHSN hospitals. The virtual event set the stage for the hospitals to develop a community of practice to understand, and respond to, variations in indicator performance. Finally, the Quality Innovation and Safety hub (Psy-QIS) maintained its prominence within the Division and has gained considerable momentum, particularly through faculty membership from partially affiliated hospitals
